With a growing footprint across India, we are looking to strengthen our market dominance in West Bengal by hiring a high-caliber Sales Leader who understands the regional market dynamics and can drive exponential business growth.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate must bring hands-on leadership in dealer-distributor channel development, team management, territory expansion, and competitive market intelligence.
This is a high-impact role aimed at significantly scaling sales volumes and enhancing brand presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Strategy
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across product verticals (PVC pipes and tanks).
- Identify and evaluate market potential in Tier 1, Tier 2, and rural segments across West Bengal.
- Drive penetration into under-served and high-growth markets.
Channel Management
- Oversee distributor appointment, on-boarding, training, and performance tracking.
- Negotiate trade terms, credit policies, and drive consistent secondary sales.
- Ensure proper channel hygiene timely billing, stock rotation, inventory management, and market feedback loops.
Team Leadership
- Set clear KPIs, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to structured sales processes.
- Conduct weekly reviews, field visits, and on-ground coaching to drive accountability and productivity.
- Foster a performance-driven culture through incentives, recognition, and continuous training.
Market Intelligence & Competition Benchmarking
- Monitor competitor product launches, schemes, distributor shifts, and regional disruptions.
- Generate market intelligence reports and actionable insights for product and pricing decisions.
Brand Development
- Drive point-of-sale visibility through effective in-market branding and display execution.
- Ensure high recall and trust value of the brand through consistent customer and channel engagement.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Deep and updated knowledge of the West Bengal market including distribution routes, buying behaviors, logistics dynamics, and state-specific challenges.
- Strong channel management and B2B negotiation skills.
- Leadership experience managing a large field sales team with a focus on execution and territory coverage.
- High level of self-discipline, accountability, and goal orientation.
- Excellent communication (Bengali, Hindi, and English preferred), interpersonal, and CRM skills.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using sales reporting tools and dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Technical understanding of PVC products and plumbing systems is an added advantage
