Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Take complete ownership of setting up the sales function from scratch, defining the overall structure, strategy, and execution roadmap.

- Build, mentor, and manage a pan-India sales team, ensuring alignment with business goals and performance metrics.

- Identify, onboard, and nurture channel partners, Authorized Persons (APs), sub-brokers, and affiliates to expand distribution reach.

- Formulate and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, and track performance using data-driven dashboards and KPIs.

- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, and technology teams to align customer acquisition campaigns and enhance user experience.

- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and investor behavior to refine pricing, product offerings, and positioning.

- Drive cross-selling and upselling initiatives across investment and trading products, including equities, derivatives, and mutual funds.

- Represent the organization at industry forums, trade events, and partner meets to build brand credibility and market visibility.

- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, emphasizing accountability, agility, and collaboration.

- Adapt effectively to the fast-paced, evolving startup ecosystem, handling ambiguity, pressure, and dynamic business challenges.

Job & Skill Requirements:

- 10-20 years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles within discount or retail broking firms in India.

- Proven track record in building and scaling sales functions or geographies from inception.

- Deep on-ground relationships with APs, sub-brokers, and distribution networks.

- Strong understanding of traders' and investors' needs, product preferences, and digital trading behavior.

- Demonstrated ability to design and execute scalable sales processes supported by analytics and automation.

- Strong financial acumen and P& L ownership experience.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to thrive in lean, entrepreneurial environments with limited resources and high accountability.

- Exposure to digital sales, partnerships, and customer acquisition through technology-led channels is an added advantage.

- Experience in launching new financial products or regions will be preferred.
