About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing sales teams.
You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market share, and ensure the long-term success of the business. This is a key leadership position that requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, exceptional team management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve company-wide sales goals and objectives.
- This includes market analysis, competitor research, target setting, and sales forecasting.
Performance Management & Reporting:
- Prepare, analyze, and present operational, financial, and performance reports for the sales department to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on data.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Oversee all aspects of the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Mentor and guide individual team members to foster their professional growth and career development.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Directly coordinate with marketing, product, and other departments on cross-selling opportunities and joint marketing initiatives to maximize brand exposure and profitability.
Sales Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement improvements to the sales cycle and methodology to enhance efficiency, increase close rates, and improve the overall customer experience.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners to ensure customer satisfaction and uncover new business opportunities.
Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage the sales department budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support sales initiatives and operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership or management role.
- Education: MBA degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse sales team to consistently meet or exceed targets.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify market trends and develop actionable plans.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of sales processes, financial principles, and business operations.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales-enablement tools.
