Our client, a global consulting firm, is partnering with a leading cement manufacturer in South India on an engagement focused on driving sales growth and market share expansion across key territories. The initiative is part of a broader commercial excellence program aimed at strengthening dealer networks, optimizing distribution channels, and improving on-ground sales performance.
To support this, the consulting team is seeking Sales Consultant with Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy experience in Industries such as Building Materials/FMCG/FMCD. The consultant will work closely with client teams to identify growth levers, engage with channel partners, and drive implementation of initiatives in the field. The consultant will play a key role in translating strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the consulting and client teams in executing GTM initiatives across priority South Indian markets.
- Drive dealer and distributor engagement programs to expand channel reach and improve market penetration.
- Conduct market analysis to identify competitive trends, pricing opportunities, and growth areas.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to design and implement market development strategies.
- Track on-ground performance, analyze channel effectiveness, and recommend improvement actions.
- Provide structured reporting and insights to project leadership on progress and impact.
Your Background:
- 5-12 years of experience in sales, go-to-market strategy, or channel management.
- Exposure to the cement, building materials (paints, glass, plyboards, etc.), or FMCG/FMCD sectors preferred.
- Fluency in Telugu is mandatory.
- Educational background: Tier 1/2 Engineering or MBA.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on execution mindset.
Other Information:
- Location: Vijayawada and/or Vizag (open to MonFri on-site with weekend fly-backs).
- Duration: 12 months (full-time engagement).
