Sagility is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Associate Director to lead the company's Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Supplier Sustainability programs globally. This role will be responsible for establishing and enhancing a robust supplier risk management framework while driving supplier sustainability initiatives that contribute to Sagility's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives, particularly the measurement, management, and reduction of Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
The role requires close collaboration with Procurement, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, ESG, Finance, Operations, and supplier partners to ensure that third-party risks are effectively managed and sustainability considerations are embedded throughout the supplier lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Third Party Risk Management Leadership
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Sagility's global Third Party Risk Management framework, policies, standards, and governance processes.
- Establish risk-based supplier segmentation methodologies and due diligence requirements across supplier categories.
Lead supplier risk assessments covering :
- Information Security and Cybersecurity
- Data Privacy and Regulatory Compliance
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
- Financial and Operational Stability
- Legal and Contractual Risk
- Geographic and Geopolitical Risk
- ESG and Reputational Risk
- Design and oversee supplier onboarding, periodic reviews, risk monitoring, remediation, and offboarding processes.
- Develop risk dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting mechanisms for leadership and governance committees.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry requirements and relevant regulatory standards impacting third-party relationships.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, Security, and Legal teams to address supplier-related risk findings and remediation plans.
Supplier Sustainability & Scope 3 Emissions Management :
- Develop and execute Sagility's supplier sustainability strategy aligned with corporate ESG commitments.
- Lead supplier engagement programs focused on environmental performance improvement and responsible sourcing.
- Build and operationalize processes for collecting, validating, and reporting supplier sustainability and emissions data.
- Establish methodologies to quantify and monitor supplier-related Scope 3 GHG emissions across relevant categories.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve emissions transparency, disclosure quality, and carbon reduction initiatives.
- Define sustainability requirements and ESG criteria for supplier selection, evaluation, and contract management.
- Drive supplier participation in sustainability assessments, carbon disclosure programs, and improvement initiatives.
- Support the development of science-based reduction pathways and supplier decarbonization roadmaps.
- Track progress toward Scope 3 reduction targets and communicate performance to executive stakeholders.
Governance, Analytics & Continuous Improvement :
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) for supplier risk and sustainability performance.
- Leverage technology platforms and analytics to automate risk monitoring, supplier assessments, and ESG reporting.
- Benchmark Sagility's supplier governance and sustainability practices against industry standards and best practices.
- Lead supplier governance forums and executive reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic recommendations to Procurement leadership on supplier portfolio optimization and risk mitigation.
Stakeholder Management :
- Serve as the primary advisor to Procurement leadership on third-party risk and supplier sustainability matters.
- Collaborate with global business leaders across India, USA, Philippines, Colombia, and Jamaica to drive consistent program execution.
- Influence senior supplier executives to adopt sustainability and risk management best practices.
- Support client requests, audits, and due diligence activities related to supplier governance and ESG performance.
Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience :
- 12-15+ years of experience in Procurement, Supplier Risk Management, Enterprise Risk Management, ESG, Sustainability, Supply Chain Governance, or related functions.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing enterprise-wide supplier risk or sustainability programs.
- Experience working within multinational organizations and global supplier ecosystems.
- Healthcare, healthcare services, BPO, technology services, or regulated industry experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications :
- Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP)
- Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
- ISO 31000 Risk Management/Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Sustainability-related certifications such as GRI, ISSP, GHG Protocol, or equivalent
- ESG and Carbon Accounting certifications preferred
Knowledge & Skills :
- Deep expertise in Third Party Risk Management frameworks and supplier governance practices.
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and Scope 3 GHG accounting methodologies.
- Knowledge of GHG Protocol, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, ISSB, and emerging sustainability regulations.
- Familiarity with supplier risk assessment platforms and ESG data management tools.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
- Experience developing global policies, governance structures, and performance reporting frameworks.
