Assistant Vice President - Total Rewards


Description:


AVP- Total Rewards will be responsible for driving digital transformation by defining and delivering HR technology strategy and next-generation technology capabilities that enable Sagility's long-term success and a consumer-grade experience for all employees.


This role is part strategy/ part execution, focused on coupling the innovation blueprint with an actionable roadmap from conception to launch through continual improvement.

In this role, one will interact, inform, and influence at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership

Location: Bangalore

Immediate joiner preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation (IC Focus):

- Design, implement, and manage compensation structures, salary ranges, and pay frameworks across geographies.

- Lead annual compensation planning processes (merit, bonus, promotions, equity).

- Conduct market benchmarking, pay competitiveness analysis, and compensation surveys to ensure alignment with industry standards.

- Provide expert guidance on complex compensation cases (offers, retention packages, pay equity).

- Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to align compensation practices with business strategy.

- Develop executive and board-level materials to support C&B strategy and outcomes.

Benefits:

- Oversee design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs (healthcare, retirement, insurance, wellness, etc.).

- Evaluate benefit vendors and negotiate cost-effective, high-value employee offerings.

People Management:

- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of C&B professionals to deliver high-quality operational support.

- Provide mentoring and career development opportunities.

- Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills & competencies:

- Data acumen and data modelling skills to drive insights, forecast costs, and enable data-backed decision making.

- Strategic thinking with ability to balance detail orientation and big-picture impact.

- Strong business acumen and ability to align C&B programs to organizational goals.

- High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.

- Leadership ability to develop and inspire team members while operating as a strong individual contributor.

Minimum education and experience required:

- 12+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or senior advisory role.

- Strong expertise in global compensation frameworks, incentive design, and benefits management.

- Proven experience with market benchmarking tools (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Radford).

- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; proficiency in Excel and HR analytics tools.

- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.

- Prior experience in a multinational environment is highly preferred.

- Drive global consistency while adapting programs to local market and regulatory needs.

- Monitor benefit utilization and ROI; recommend enhancements based on employee feedback and data insights.
