Sagacious Research - Senior Patent Analyst

Role Overview:

SagaciousElevate is looking to hire a Senior Patent Analyst for its ICT Licensing team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in patent infringement analysis, claim chart preparation, and EOU (Evidence of Use) analysis, along with the ability to guide junior team members. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge ICT technologies and global patent licensing engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct patent infringement searches across ICT technologies.

- Prepare detailed Claim Charts and Evidence of Use (EOU) documents.

- Perform Triage Analysis / First Look Analysis to assess infringement potential.

- Analyze patents for licensing and enforcement suitability.

- Support licensing projects with technical and patent insights.

- Mentor and guide junior analysts (team handling of at least 1 member preferred).

- Ensure high-quality deliverables aligned with client and project requirements.

- Work closely with cross-functional IP and legal teams.

Technical Skills Required

Strong understanding of ICT technologies, including but not limited to:

- Smartphones

- Cloud Computing

- Internet of Things (IoT)

- eSIM

- Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

- Other related wireless and networking technologies

- IP Skills Required

- Patent Infringement Analysis

- Claim Chart preparation

- EOU (Evidence of Use) analysis

- Triage / First Look Analysis

Working knowledge of patent databases such as:

- Orbit

- Derwent

- Other global patent search databases

Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in:

- Electronics & Communication Engineering

- Computer Science Engineering

- Telecommunication or equivalent disciplines

Experience:

- 2-3 years of relevant experience in patent analysis, preferably in ICT licensing or litigation support.

- Prior experience in team handling or mentoring is highly preferred.
