Your Role in our Team:
The role will be responsible for driving value engineering initiatives across procurement categories through strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, value engineering, spend analytics, vendor management, and process improvements. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance procurement efficiency and achieve sustainable cost savings.
Your core responsibilities:
Strategic Cost Optimization
- Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities across direct and indirect procurement categories.
- Drive value engineering and alternative sourcing initiatives.
- Analyze procurement spend and benchmark pricing trends.
- Develop annual cost-saving plans and monitor realization.
Procurement & Sourcing
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations.
- Support RFQ/RFP processes and vendor evaluations.
- Optimize procurement terms including pricing, payment terms, logistics, and contractual conditions.
- Ensure procurement aligns with budgetary and project requirements.
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
- Identify alternate vendors and improve vendor competitiveness.
- Conduct commercial performance reviews with suppliers.
Data Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare MIS dashboards on procurement savings, spend analysis, and market trends.
- Track procurement KPIs and cost optimization metrics.
- Provide commercial insights to management for decision-making.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, projects, finance, and operations teams for cost optimization initiatives.
- Support standardization and specification rationalization exercises.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Drive procurement process improvements and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and approval frameworks.
- Support audit and internal control requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Industrial or related discipline)
- MBA in Supply Chain / Operations / Finance / Procurement preferred
Experience
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, commercial, or cost optimization roles
- Experience in manufacturing, EPC, infrastructure, energy, or renewables preferred
