Role Overview :

As the Plant Head - Secondary Steel, you will spearhead the entire operational spectrum of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. This pivotal role involves daily oversight of production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain logistics, ensuring seamless execution and optimal output. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality assurance, HR, and finance, while also engaging with senior management and external vendors. Your strategic leadership and operational acumen will directly impact our ability to meet market demand, deliver superior quality products to our customers, enhance profitability, and maintain our competitive edge in the secondary steel sector.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and manage all facets of secondary steel plant operations to consistently achieve ambitious production targets, uphold stringent quality standards, Induction furnance and drive cost efficiencies.

- Develop and implement robust operational strategies and best practices to continuously optimize production processes, significantly enhance productivity, and minimize waste across the value chain.

- Ensure unwavering adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO) throughout every plant activity, safeguarding personnel and assets.

- Oversee comprehensive maintenance schedules and proactive asset management initiatives to maximize equipment uptime and extend the operational lifespan of critical machinery.

- Manage plant budgets meticulously, control operational expenditures effectively, and proactively identify opportunities for significant cost reduction and continuous process improvement.

- Foster a high-performance culture by inspiring, mentoring, and developing a highly skilled workforce, promoting collaborative teamwork and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.

- Collaborate strategically with supply chain and sales teams to meticulously align production plans with dynamic market demand and ensure optimal raw material availability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated deep expertise in secondary steel manufacturing processes & induction furnance, encompassing melting, casting, rolling, and finishing operations, with a proven track record of operational excellence.

- Proven ability to effectively lead and manage large-scale industrial operations, drive significant operational improvements, and navigate complex production environments with strategic foresight.

- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring diverse teams, managing critical stakeholders, and negotiating effectively with internal and external partners.

- Strong analytical and sophisticated problem-solving capabilities, adept at process optimization, rigorous quality control, and making data-driven strategic decisions under pressure.

- Proficiency in implementing and meticulously managing comprehensive safety, quality (e.g., ISO), and environmental management systems to ensure compliance and best practices.

- A Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is highly preferred, providing a strong foundational understanding.
