Position Overview
We seek an Associate Director with 12+ years of experience in financial research, deal execution, or transaction support to lead our Deal Support and Transaction Collaterals & Solutions division. This role requires a client-focused leader who can drive high-stakes deliverables, manage P&L ownership, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment with strategic transaction objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client & Deal Coordination
- Act as the senior relationship owner for investment banks and corporate clients, ensuring flawless delivery of deal collaterals within defined timelines
- Oversee the preparation of precise, compliant, and investor-ready materials, including Information Memorandums, financial models (DCF, LBO, M&A), valuation reports, teasers, and market/competitor analyses
- Engage with clients to define scope, clarify expectations, and proactively resolve challenges during fundraising/M&A processes
- Implement rigorous quality checks across all deliverables to minimize errors and ensure adherence to client/regulatory standards
2. Team & Operational Management
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts/managers, building expertise in financial modelling, market research, and high-quality collateral design
- Streamline processes and leverage tools (automation, templates, knowledge repositories) to improve efficiency and scalability
3. P&L Ownership
- Drive the BU's revenue and profitability targets through budgeting, resource planning, and cost optimization
- Identify growth opportunities via client retention, upselling, and development of niche offerings (e.g., sector-focused research packages)
4. Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Monitor industry trends (valuations, regulatory shifts, fundraising strategies) to ensure collaterals remain market-relevant
- Build proprietary frameworks/tools (e.g., integrated ESG valuation models) to differentiate Rubyworks solutions in client engagements
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with investment banks, legal advisors, and client CFOs/treasury teams to align deliverables with broader transaction strategies
- Support business development by showcasing Rubyworks' expertise in pitch decks, workshops, and client presentations
Qualifications
- 12+ years in financial research, transaction support, investment banking, or corporate finance
- MBA/CFA/CA preferred; deep expertise in Information Memorandums, financial modelling, valuation, and investor-facing documentation
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing P&L for deal execution services
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to navigate complex deal environments
