Position Overview:


RSM US LLP is seeking a dynamic Audit Manager to join RSM US Integrated Services India Private Limited in India. This position is part of the Audit Standards and Methodology Group (ASMG) within the National Professional Standards Group (NPSG), working alongside NPSG India counterparts.


This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about auditing and motivated to collaborate with high-performing professionals while advancing the strategic goals of the audit practice. The ASMG Manager will lead national projects related to audit standards and methodology changes, including incorporating relevant guidance and policies into audit tools and technologies. The role includes providing technical assistance to audit teams, assisting with the development and maintenance of audit policy and guidance, developing and delivering training materials, supporting external outreach initiatives, and mentoring other team members. Limited travel may be required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The following responsibilities represent the primary expectations of this role. Percentages indicate the average allocation of time and total 100%.


Implementation of New Auditing Standards (20%)


Lead the planning and execution of initiatives related to the implementation of new auditing standards and associated policies.


Audit Methodology and Content Development (20%)


Assist with the development and maintenance of the firms audit manuals, practice aids, and audit tool content by serving as a content author and/or technical reviewer.


Training Development (10%)


Develop national training materials, including in-person courses, webcasts, and self-study programs.


Training Facilitation (5%)


Facilitate national training programs, including in-person courses and webcasts.


Technical Assistance (15%)


Provide technical assistance to audit teams and other members within NPSG.


Thought Leadership and Research (20%)


Assist with the development of thought leadership documents by performing research on relevant topics and drafting articles for the audit practice and, where applicable, firm-wide distribution.


External Outreach Activities (5%)


Participate in external outreach activities such as task forces, working groups, standards-setting committees, contributing to and drafting comment letters, and supporting other NPSG members in outreach initiatives.


Other Responsibilities (5%)


Perform additional duties as assigned, including some travel for team meetings, training sessions, and working sessions.


Required Qualifications:


- CA qualified with 6+ years of relevant public accounting experience


- ACCA/CPA qualified with 7+ years of relevant public accounting experience


- Strong organizational and time management skills


- Strong oral and written communication skills


- Strong attention to detail


- Strong project management skills


- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


- Ability to mentor and develop other team members


- Highly productive with the ability to take initiative without direct oversight


- Collaborative and respectful team player


- High achiever with a strong drive for excellence


- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and passion for sharing new ideas


Preferred Qualifications:


- Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAS, IAASB, and PCAOB standards


- Experience auditing under GAAS, PCAOB, and IAASB auditing standards
