Job Title: Financial Analyst 401K Fund Accounting

Location: Work from Office

Shift: US Shift (6:00 PM 3:00 AM)

Experience: 2 - 8 Years

Role Summary:

The Financial Analyst 401K Fund Accounting will support retirement services operations with a focus on fund accounting activities for defined contribution plans.

The role involves managing complex fund transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high accuracy levels, and acting as a key liaison between managers, clients, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform end-to-end 401K fund accounting operations and transaction processing

- Handle fund mergers, fund changes, share class exchanges, and stock splits

- Manage payroll postings, distributions, new business setups, and fund calculations

- Perform daily, monthly, and ad-hoc reconciliations of retirement fund accounts

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client guidelines, and internal controls

- Act as primary point of contact for managers on day-to-day operational matters

- Disseminate client updates, process changes, and instructions to team members

- Monitor daily work queues, query resolution, and SLA adherence

- Support quality checks, audits, and client reporting requirements

- Identify operational risks and support process improvement initiatives

- Accuracy and timeliness of fund accounting transactions

- Compliance with 401K regulations and client-specific guidelines

- SLA adherence and effective queue management

- Reduction in reconciliation breaks and processing errors

- Quality audit performance and control effectiveness

- Stakeholder satisfaction and communication effectiveness

- Process efficiency and continuous improvement contributions

Required Skill Sets:

- Strong knowledge of 401K fund accounting and defined contribution plans

- Hands-on experience in fund mergers, share class exchanges, and stock split processing

- Expertise in reconciliation, payroll, distributions, and fund calculations

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- High attention to detail and data accuracy

- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools

- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume, SLA-driven environment

- Flexibility to work US shifts and support business-critical timelines

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field

- 2 TO 8 years of relevant experience in 401K fund accounting or retirement services
