
CFO (Chief Financial Officer)
Location: Bangalore (travel as needed)
Type: Full-time | Leadership
CTC: 30 - 40 LPA (Fixed + performance-linked variable)
Role Purpose:
Lead Royal Oak's finance agenda to enable rapid scale across India and international markets-covering fundraising, banking & treasury, FP&A, financial controls, compliance, and scalable finance systems.
The CFO will work closely with the President to drive capital strategy, profitable growth, and cash discipline, and will report to the Board (Chairman & Managing Director) with clear financial insights, risk visibility, and performance governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Finance & FP&A: Own annual plan, forecasts, unit economics (stores/e-comm/B2B) and leadership dashboards (revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash, ROCE).
- Fundraising: Lead equity/debt/structured capital raises-pitch deck/IM, data room, investor diligence, term sheet evaluation, closing.
- M&A / Strategic Deals: Evaluate targets/partnerships, build valuation + synergy models, run diligence with legal/tax, support integration plan.
- Banking, Treasury & Working Capital: Manage banks/NBFCs; negotiate WC/term loans/BG/LC/bill discounting/vendor finance; run weekly cash discipline to improve cash cycle.
- Retail Finance Controls: Own store P&L controls, discount governance, shrinkage/returns leakage control, inventory ageing and liquidation discipline.
- Compliance & Governance: Strong audits + statutory compliance (GST, TDS, IT, Companies Act; FEMA preferred), DOA/approval matrix, capex governance.
- Systems & Scale: Strengthen ERP + POS integration, automate MIS/reconciliations, reduce manual Excel work.
- Team Leadership: Lead controllership, FP&A, treasury, tax, internal audit and business finance teams.
Success Metrics (KPI's):
- Fundraise closed (amount, timeline, cost of capital, terms)
- Working capital improvement (inventory days, DSO/DPO, cash conversion)
- Better banking limits/terms (WC/BG/LC/discounting)
- Forecast accuracy + MIS timeliness
- Margin improvement + leakage reduction (discount/shrinkage/returns)
- Clean audits + compliance score (no major qualifications)
Must-Have Skills:
- Fundraising + investor management (pitch + diligence)
- M&A / transactions (valuation + coordination)
- Strong banking negotiation (WC/term loans/BG/LC/discounting)
- Retail/inventory finance strength (store P&L, controls, audits)
- Systems mindset (ERP/POS, automation, MIS discipline)
- Executive presence + strong communication
Qualifications / Experience:
- CA Qualified / CMA
- 12-20 years in senior finance leadership
- Big 4 exposure preferred (Audit/Deals/TS)
- Strong preference: retail/consumer, e-comm/logistics, manufacturing
