Note: The candidate's current CTC must be 50 LPA or above.


About the Role:


We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Business Head to lead and grow our government sales portfolio.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and expanding government business, a deep understanding of the public sector landscape, and established relationships with key government departments, ministries, and officials.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales:

- Spearhead the end-to-end management of the government business portfolio, with a mandate to handle a business volume of 400-800 crore.

- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the government sector, including key departments like NIC, NICSI, and the Transport Department.

- Proactively establish and nurture strong relationships with government agencies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to build and maintain a healthy business pipeline.

Tender Management & Bidding:

- Regularly identify and track new opportunities by monitoring various tender sites and sources.

- Lead the entire bidding process, from tender analysis and proposal submission to negotiation and contract finalization.

Revenue & Performance Management:

- Ensure the achievement of budgeted sales targets and revenue assurance from all clients.

- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive consistent business growth and profitability.

Government Liaison & Compliance:

- Act as the primary liaison with government officials, including IAS officers and Principal Secretaries, to facilitate business operations and foster collaboration.

- Ensure strict adherence to all government regulations, policies, and compliance standards throughout all business activities.

Project & Team Leadership:

- Oversee project execution and completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to achieve departmental goals.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

- A minimum of 20+ years of experience, with a significant portion dedicated to handling sales and business development within the government sector.

- Demonstrated expertise in navigating the complexities of government businesses, procurement processes, and departmental structures.

- Extensive network and established connections with government departments, ministries, and key officials.

- Proven ability to manage large-scale business portfolios, with experience handling a minimum of 400-800 crore in business volume.

- Strong understanding of government projects and the entire project lifecycle, from bidding to completion.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Educational Qualification: Graduation/MBA/PGDBM or equivalent.
