Job Description: Business Head (Government Business)
Company background: Rosmerta Group is a leading name in the e-governance, transport and Road Safety domain in India. Group has more than 1000 Cr annual business turnover. The companys HQ is based in Gurugram, Haryana, India. It has a pan India presence with over 4500 employees across 25 state offices and over 350 branches across the length and breadth of the company. The company is growing & expanding its businesses.
The Position:
- Business Head Government Business report to the President
- Responsible for Business Development and operational efficiency, New Client acquisition and customer Service.
- Manufacturing is not a part of the role.
- Manage a Team of direct reportees around 10-20 +.
Target Candidates:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the Transportation or a related field.
- Strong business acumen and a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
- In-depth knowledge of the Smart Card industry, including market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Candidate to have 14 years+ of experience in Sales/BD along with reasonable experience in post-sales service.
- Age : 35 to 55 years
- Experience across/over large Geographical regions preferred.
Role:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement the business strategic plan, aligning it with the overall organizational goals.
- Identify new market opportunities, assess market trends, and provide recommendations for expanding the business vertical product portfolio.
- Conduct competitor analysis and devise strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- To review the prospects for new business diversification to generate additional revenue
Business & Customer:
- Oversee the business team, providing guidance and support in providing flawless and promptly customer service as per business need.
- Inventory management and control to ensure flawless supply chain management system and process.
- Ensuring quality of the product as per the standards
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Responsible for timely execution of projects
- Monthly MIS and participation in monthly business reviews
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Promptly and proactively resolution of customer complaints
- Liaise with Govt departments/clients & complied with necessary compliances and requirements
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the business budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Controlling the cost & wastage
- Set revenue and order book targets and develop strategies to achieve them
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare regular financial reports and present them to senior management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies to improve the business unit's profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Provide strong leadership to the business vertical, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Identify training and development needs, and implement initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.
