Manager - Vendor Management
DESCRIPTION:
RKW team is seeking a highly motivated professional with a passion for P&L Management and people leadership. Our mission is to delight customers by working with vendors to offer the best selection, pricing and delivery convenience across a wide range of products. The Manager, Vendor Management, will lead a high-performing team and will be responsible for driving both the top and bottom line.
Metrics for a category. To deliver results, this person will own strategic vendor relationships, expand product selection, negotiate vendor terms, partner with marketing teams to drive traffic, and work with operations and in-stock to guarantee product availability. Ultimately, we expect the Manager, Vendor Management (MVM) to be a passionate customer advocate within RKW and have a long-term, cross-functional mindset and a deep understanding of the P&L.
Key job responsibilities:
- Full P&L responsibility, including planning, forecasting and driving growth for the category.
- Will have a strong passion for managing, hiring, developing and leading a team of Retail Vendor Managers.
- Proven record of driving strategic vendor negotiations and delivering outsized results. Comfortable representing RKW when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors.
- Effective at setting goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
- Skilled communicator in working with external stakeholders like vendors and marketplaces, as well as with internal groups such as instock, legal, finance, operations and marketing teams, to deliver innovation and a better customer experience.
- Strong in cross-functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs
- Adept at identifying industry trends that are relevant to customer selection and experience.
- Drive high-impact projects at org level
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
- 8+ years of account management, vendor management, or retail experience
- Masters degree (preferably MBA from a Tier 1 institute)
- Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion or inventory management
- Experience driving direction and internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience in managing and developing a high-performance team
