We're Hiring: Head of Merchandising - Sportswear & Athletics (E-commerce)

RK Group, in collaboration with a leading global footwear brand, is launching a new e-commerce venture - and we're looking for a business-focused, fashion-savvy Head of Merchandising to lead the merchandising strategy for the Sportswear & Athletics division.

If you're passionate about building assortments that convert, shaping category strategy, and driving P&L impact in a fast-moving digital environment, this role is for you.

What You'll Lead?

Merchandising Strategy:

- Build annual/seasonal/event-based merchandising calendars

- Drive assortment planning with design & sourcing teams

- Use data, trends & sell-through insights for buying & replenishment decisions

Marketplace & Brand Partner Management:

- Work closely with the global brand's design, sourcing, pricing & marketing teams

- Collaborate with category teams at marketplaces to boost visibility & conversions

- Plan discounting, events & marketing participation to maximize ROI

Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Align merchandising with marketing, product launches & brand store optimization

- Partner with operations & finance for inventory planning, budgeting & reconciliation

- Ensure zero leakages in claims, settlements & revenues

Team Management:

- Lead a 3-5 member merchandising team

- Set clear KPIs, build capability & foster a culture of ownership

Reporting & Analytics:

- Track ASPs, discounts, returns, ROS, sell-through & competition

- Build MIS dashboards and drive timely interventions

What We're Looking For?

- 12-15 years' experience in e-commerce fashion merchandising (footwear preferred)

- Strong in assortment planning, pricing, inventory management & P&L ownership

- Deep understanding of marketplace operations & platform levers

- Graduate/Post-graduate from NIFT/premier fashion institutes/Tier-1 B-schools

- Excellent at negotiation, stakeholder management & people leadership
