Financial Controller - AR Experience
Role Overview:
As a Financial Controller specializing in Accounts Receivable (AR), you will be at the heart of our financial operations in Bangalore, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing the AR function, implementing robust internal controls, and providing insightful financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with the finance team, sales, and operations, acting as a key point of contact for all AR-related matters. Your work will directly impact our cash flow management, financial reporting, and overall business performance, contributing to informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, payment processing, and collections to optimize cash flow.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls over the AR process to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze AR aging reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement in collection efficiency.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports related to AR, providing insightful analysis and commentary to management for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve customer billing disputes and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Manage and mentor a team of AR professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Lead the annual audit process for AR, ensuring accurate and timely completion of audit requests and addressing any audit findings.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in Accounts Receivable management, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/MBA preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- 5-9 years of relevant experience.
