Risk Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Review merchant applications and documents for underwriting.

- Approve or reject onboarding based on risk parameters.

- Identify high-risk or non-compliant merchants.

- Monitor live merchant activity and flag policy violations.

- Detect suspicious transactions and document fraud patterns.

- Classify merchants by risk level and maintain risk tags.

- Work with product/tech teams to enhance the risk engine and automate checks.

- Handle disputes, chargebacks, and merchant escalations.

- Coordinate with partner banks, CPV vendors, and internal teams.

- Research and implement fraud-prevention best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

- 3-5 years experience in merchant underwriting (Fintech / Payment Aggregators).

- Good understanding of risk for self-employed and SME merchants.

- Strong analytical and fraud-detection skills.

- Experience in chargebacks, disputes, and transaction monitoring.

Qualification: B.Com / MBA.
