About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced ROW Lead to oversee and manage Right of Way activities for large-scale telecom infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing permissions, coordinating with local authorities, mitigating on-ground challenges, and ensuring seamless project execution.
This role requires strong stakeholder management, field coordination, and an in-depth understanding of telecom deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Right of Way (ROW) acquisition process for fiber, tower, and telecom network deployments.
- Liaise with municipal authorities, government departments, panchayats, and private landowners to obtain necessary approvals.
- Review and interpret ROW policies, regulations, and compliance guidelines set by local bodies.
- Identify potential obstacles and proactively resolve disputes or objections during on-ground deployment.
- Ensure timely submission and tracking of applications, drawings, and statutory documentation.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure work commencement and completion as per schedule.
- Negotiate with stakeholders to optimize costs and avoid delays.
- Monitor field teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with guidelines and safety norms.
- Maintain detailed documentation of approvals, payments, permits, and correspondence.
- Prepare weekly and monthly updates on ROW status, challenges, and clearances.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in Right of Way acquisition within the telecommunications or infrastructure industry.
- Strong understanding of telecom network deployment - FTTH, FTTx, OFC laying, and tower installation.
- Solid knowledge of local government processes, approval cycles, and municipal regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage field operations, vendors, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving ability and experience handling on-ground escalations.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with GIS tools is a plus.
- Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
Education:
- Graduate degree in Engineering, Management, or equivalent field.
- Post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
