Job Description:

M/S PETRA SILICON PRIVATE LIMITED (PSPL) PSPL is into the business of processing Quartz mineral with a setup for "one of the worlds largest" Quartz Grit making plant that processes 1 MMTPA of high-grade quartz. PSPL intends to produce high quality Grit and Filler, which are inputs for Engineered Stone/Quartz slab manufacturing. PSPL will also be producing HPQ and semiconductor grade Silicon, to cater to domestic and international markets.

PSPL, has uninterrupted access for procurement of Quartz mineral, with the world's largest single deposit quartz mine. The project is @ Mudigubba, nearby to Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh

Qualification: B. Tech / M. Tech (Mechanical / Mining Engineering/Mineral Processing)

Experience: Above 25 years (Min 5 yrs experience in Quartz Mineral Processing Unit in Leadership role)

Must be hands on experience on execution of Projects cycle (RMHS), mineral Mining, mineral processing O&M and Business development, with overall responsible for P&L of the SBUin any Mining and Mineral processing company (preferable in Quartz/ Feldspar/ Silica Sand/ Quartzite minerals). (or) any similar mineral processing

Knowing Telugu language is an added advantage

Location: Corporate office @ Hyderabad and works at Mudigubba, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

Norms: In the interest of the organization to excel along with professional teams to achieve the Vision of the business and the organization, prospective candidate must be willing for a long-term association and confirm for a suitable contract.

Role & responsibilities:


- Must be fully conversant with entire cycle of Quartz mineral processing (or) any similar mineral processing from Mines to finished products. (making Quartz Lumps, making quartz GRIT, and also processing of by-products)

- Thorough understanding of mineral processing projects from raw material handling systems, and engineering

- Work strategically, achieve business targets and to maximize production volumes with focus on Monthly, Quarterly and Annual targets

- Effective manpower planning, administration and induction of sufficient teams to handle O&M

- Focused on cost minimization and cost control of the plant and materials

- Formulating budgets for timely procurement of material and any other requirements

- Ensure mineral processing projects and other engineering projects completion within scheduled time frame

- Knowledge of Best Mining Practices to ensure right production while obtaining raw material as per agreements

- Implementation of Safety norms, Statutory Compliance & Zero Accident

- Ensure all SOPs are in developed, reviewed periodically and implemented

- Unlock and utilize the potential of any mines by making commercial viability of existing stocks

- Establishing leading business partners in both Domestic and Global Quartz Markets. Build capabilities to identify, Acquire and explore growth opportunities.

- Management and proper controlling both Debtors and Creditors

- Equipment/Machine wise fixing of standards for utilization and operational cost

- M/c standards Vs Utilization & Cost and it improvement plans

- Implement and over-see the long-range Goals, Strategies, Plans and Policies of the Group/Company, subject to the direction of the Management

- With the help of support teams, mobilize, enroll, monitoring of Contractors/Vendors/Customers to meet business demands. Also, monitor employees related issues and its redresses

- Effective Utilization of all resources i.e. Plant & Equipment, Infrastructure & Manpower

- Machinery availability and consumption data analysis

- Procurement, Spares consumption and its follow-up

- Any other area/work assigned based on the Business exigency

- Develop and ensure proper MIS on Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly / half-yearly basis

- Team building and team management, excellent management skills with all CFTs and business heads/HODs
