
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll, Time & Absence Lead - Workday Program Manager to spearhead the global rollout of payroll, time, and absence management tools across Revvity. This strategic role requires a seasoned professional who combines deep subject matter expertise in Payroll, Time and Absence Management with proven program management capabilities to drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Program Leadership & Execution:
- Lead end-to-end global implementation of payroll, time, and absence management solutions across multiple regions and business units.
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps, timelines, and governance frameworks for multi-country deployments.
- Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and regional stakeholders across diverse geographies.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to measure program success and drive continuous improvement.
2. Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as the primary SME for payroll, time, and absence modules within Core systems (Workday, SAP, ADP, UKG, Atoss etc).
- Design and configure payroll processing workflows, time tracking mechanisms, and absence management policies aligned with global and local requirements.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements across all deployment regions.
- Provide expert guidance on system capabilities, best practices, and optimization opportunities.
3. Vendor & Integration Management:
- Manage integrations between Core ERP systems and third-party payroll vendors (ADP, UKG, ATOS, and similar platforms).
- Lead technical integration design sessions, data mapping exercises, and interface testing protocols.
- Lead functional design and requirement gathering sessions by working with other stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor performance, SLAs, and escalation processes to maintain service quality.
- Actively contribute to RFP development, vendor evaluation, and selection processes for payroll and time management solutions.
4. Stakeholder & Change Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, regional HR leaders, and business unit heads.
- Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide regular program status updates.
- Develop and execute comprehensive change management and communication strategies to drive user adoption.
- Conduct stakeholder impact assessments and implement mitigation strategies for organizational change.
5. Risk & Issue Management:
- Proactively identify program risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks across technical, operational, and compliance domains.
- Develop and maintain risk registers with mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
- Lead issue resolution efforts, escalating critical items to appropriate governance bodies.
- Ensure business continuity during system transitions and cutover activities.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in payroll, time, and absence management systems.
- 5+ years leading global, enterprise-scale Payroll, Time and Absence implementations.
- Proven track record managing flagship programs across multiple countries and regions.
- Demonstrated experience with full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through post-go-live support.
1. Functional Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge of payroll processing, tax calculations, wage types, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Deep understanding of time and attendance tracking, scheduling, overtime rules, and labor cost allocation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of absence management including leave accruals, entitlements, and policy administration.
- Strong grasp of global payroll operations including multi-currency processing, international tax implications, and cross-border compliance.
- Experience with payroll accounting, general ledger integration, and financial reconciliation processes.
2. Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence modules configuration, reporting, and integration experience required.
- Hands-on experience integrating Core ERP systems with third-party payroll vendors: ADP, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group), ATOS, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of integration technologies: APIs, web services, middleware platforms, file-based interfaces (SFTP, batch processing).
- Proficiency with data migration strategies, ETL processes, and data validation techniques.
- Knowledge of security protocols, role-based access controls and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
3. Program & Project Management Skills:
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong budget management and financial forecasting capabilities.
- Experience with RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management.
4. Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Exceptional executive presence with ability to influence senior leadership and drive consensus.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- Experience facilitating workshops, steering committees, and large group sessions.
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively across diverse global teams.
5. Risk & Compliance Management:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured approach to risk identification and mitigation.
- Knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience managing regulatory changes and implementing system updates to maintain compliance.
- Ability to balance business needs with risk tolerance and compliance requirements.
