Profile: Controllership (Revenue Assurance)

Role Overview:

Looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience to join our Revenue Assurance team. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, reconciliations, invoicing, collections tracking, and financial reporting related to advertising partnerships and sponsored placements on the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end accounting for advertisement and related revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

- Ensure revenue recognition is compliant with Ind AS and contractual arrangements, including assessment of accruals and deferred revenue.

- Review advertising campaigns, commercial agreements, and billing data to ensure accurate revenue booking and invoicing.

- Coordinate customer invoicing, credit notes, collections tracking, and debtor reconciliations.

- Compute and review Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisions in accordance with Ind AS 109 and monitor DSO metrics and collection efficiency.

- Prepare monthly revenue accruals, deferred revenue schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

- Perform revenue analytics, variance analysis, and identify potential revenue leakages or process gaps.

- Prepare and present monthly revenue reports and performance decks to finance and business stakeholders.

- Partner with business finance and business teams to resolve revenue-related issues and improve reporting accuracy.

- Manage inter-company revenue accounting and reconciliations.

- Ensure 26AS TDS reconciliations.

- Support month-end and year-end close activities, statutory audits, internal audits, and financial reporting requirements.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of relevant experience in controllership, revenue accounting, or statutory audit.

- Candidate having prior experience in revenue accounting would be preferred.

- Good understanding of Ind AS 115.

- Strong knowledge of revenue processes, reconciliations, and reporting.

- Ability to lead the team and manage multiple stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Experience working with SAP; knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is an added advantage.

- Strong capability to work in a fast-paced environment with business, tech, and finance stakeholders.

Process Excellence & Automation:

- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities for automation across the finance close and sub-ledger ecosystem.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on close-cycle efficiency, reporting accuracy, scalability, and data integrity.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, particularly Ind AS 2, 36, 109, and 115.

- Hands-on experience with SAP and strong proficiency in MS Excel.

- Good understanding of TDS, GST, etc. implications relevant to Revenue Assurance.
