Position / job title: GL Revenue Accountant Function: Operations Process / department: Finance and Accounting Grade: M02 Position reports to: GL Controller Role Type Individual Contributor Qualifications - CA/ACCA/CMA/CPA No of Years- Experience 5-6 Years Other Requirements Open to domestic and international travel Flexible to work in US Hours Core Skills and Experience - Must have deep domain knowledge of revenue recognition standards - Pass various revenue and direct cost accounting journals on time after validation with billing systems reports. - Domain expertise in telecom revenue streams (postpaid, data, roaming, interconnect) - Knowledge of deferred revenue accounting treatment - Perform timely critical revenue reconciliations to ensure that revenues booked in books of account are complete and accurate without any material misstatements - Experience of telecom revenue accounting is mandatory Key Result Areas - Deliver as per month end close calendar - Participate in reviews with client finance organsation on monthly basis on revenue and direct costs - Work closely with transactional processing teams - accounts receivable and bank reconciliation teams - Liaise with client organisation to ensure receipt of inputs and reports on time - Standardise and streamline processes across geographies assigned - Participate, as applicable, in SSC transformation initiatives
