Description:
Key Responsibilities & Strategic Deliverables:
Offline Strategy & P&L Ownership:
- P&L Management: Own the end-to-end P&L and commercial targets for the entire offline retail footprint, focusing on maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and driving store-level profitability.
- Expansion Planning: Lead the national retail expansion strategy, including market mapping, site selection, lease negotiation support, and managing the new store opening pipeline across key metros and regional formats.
- Profitability Levers: Strategically manage all key retail profitability levers, utilizing deep knowledge of regional consumer behavior and local market dynamics to optimize inventory and sales mix.
Store Operations & Excellence:
- Operational Standards: Establish and enforce best-in-class store operations protocols and SOPs, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and exceptional customer service across all locations.
- Visual Merchandising (VM): Drive a cohesive and premium Visual Merchandising strategy that effectively showcases the home category product lines (furniture, homeware) and elevates the luxury brand experience.
- Customer Experience (CX): Instill a customer-first culture focused on providing a personalized, consultative shopping experience essential for high-value purchases in the home and lifestyle segment.
Team Leadership & Talent Management:
- Team Leadership: Mentor, lead, and develop a large, multi-tiered retail operations team, including Regional Managers, Store Managers, and Visual Merchandisers.
- Capability Building: Implement robust training and development programs focused on product knowledge, premium sales techniques, and consultative selling to boost store productivity and team retention.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to align product lifecycle, inventory flow, and promotional activities with store requirements.
Ideal Profile & Qualifications:
- Experience (Mandatory): 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in large-scale Retail Operations or Sales Leadership.
- Industry Focus: Must bring deep expertise in the Home Category (e.g., furniture, furnishings, homeware, or luxury lifestyle retail).
- Expertise: Proven track record in store operations, large-scale team leadership, and retail expansion/roll-out planning.
- Strategic Insight: Strong understanding of consumer behavior and the commercial drivers within premium, high-ticket retail environments.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills suitable for executive-level engagement
