Job Purpose:
The Retail Head will be responsible for driving overall retail strategy, operations, and performance across all stores to achieve business objectives. This role demands strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence to ensure seamless customer experiences, maximize sales, and maintain brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Develop and implement the retail business strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Plan store expansions, location strategy, and new store openings.
- Define annual sales targets and operational KPIs for all retail stores.
Sales & Revenue Management:
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective sales planning and execution.
- Monitor store performance against targets and initiate corrective actions where needed.
- Analyze sales data, customer insights, and market trends to optimize product mix and inventory.
Operations Management:
- Ensure smooth functioning of all stores through efficient operational processes.
- Oversee compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory, cash handling, and security.
- Manage visual merchandising standards to enhance customer experience and uphold brand image.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage store managers and retail teams.
- Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and create succession plans for key roles.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on customer service and sales excellence.
Customer Experience & Service Excellence:
- Ensure consistent delivery of superior customer service across all stores.
- Implement customer engagement initiatives and loyalty programs to drive repeat business.
- Resolve escalated customer complaints effectively and promptly.
Financial & Inventory Management:
- Prepare and manage retail budgets, including P&L accountability.
- Optimize inventory levels and minimize stock loss through efficient control mechanisms.
- Coordinate with supply chain and merchandising teams for timely product availability.
Marketing & Promotions:
- Work closely with marketing teams to plan and execute in-store promotions, campaigns, and events.
- Ensure alignment of promotional strategies with overall brand objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in fashion, luxury, or lifestyle retail preferred.
