
Role Summary
The Retail Head will be responsible for leading and scaling the retail business across stores. This role focuses on new store opening planning, sales training & capability building, and end-to-end P&L ownership to drive profitable growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. New Store Openings & Expansion
- Plan and execute new store openings in line with the company's growth strategy
- Conduct location feasibility studies and coordinate with cross-functional teams (Merchandiser, design, supply chain)
- Oversee store setup, staffing, training, and go-live execution
- Ensure new stores achieve targeted sales and operational benchmarks within defined timelines
2. Sales Training & Development
- Design and implement structured sales training programs for store teams
- Build product knowledge, selling skills, customer engagement, and service excellence
- Coach and mentor Store Managers and Sales Associates to improve performance
- Drive a performance-oriented culture through regular reviews and feedback
3. Retail Operations & P&L Management
- Own and manage store-level P&L, ensuring profitability and cost control
- Monitor key metrics such as sales, margins, inventory turns, shrinkage, and staff productivity
- Optimize store operations to improve revenue, efficiency, and customer experience
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements
4. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop multi-store retail team
- Set clear targets and KPIs for stores and review performance regularly
- Identify talent, support succession planning, and reduce attrition
5. Customer Experience & Brand Standards
- Ensure consistent brand representation and visual merchandising standards across stores
- Drive superior customer experience and handle escalations when required
- Implement initiatives to improve customer loyalty and repeat business
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Mass Media, Communications, Business, or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Experience
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a leadership role in brand management, ideally in luxury, lifestyle, fashion, or jewellery.
