Role Overview:

The Bridge Associates is partnering with a fast-growing retail business in Mumbai to hire a Head of Retail. This is a high-impact leadership mandate for a retail professional who can take ownership of the entire retail business - from store performance and customer experience to expansion and commercial outcomes. The role will work closely with the founders and leadership team to build a scalable retail engine and drive growth across the store network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the overall retail business, including store performance, revenue, profitability, and operational excellence.

- Drive store-level metrics, productivity, footfall, conversion, average bill value, and customer experience.

- Develop and execute strategies for same-store growth and new-store expansion.

- Identify opportunities to improve store economics, margins, manpower productivity, and operational efficiency.

- Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business teams to deliver retail growth.

- Build strong processes and operating rhythms across the store network.

- Lead and develop the retail team, building a high-performance culture across locations.

- Work closely with founders and senior leadership on retail strategy, expansion plans, and business growth.

Ideal Candidate:

- 12 - 18+ years of experience in retail or multi-store operations.

- Strong experience managing multiple stores or large retail networks.

- Proven track record of driving revenue growth, store productivity, and profitability.

- Experience across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, consumer, F&B, QSR, or other retail-led businesses would be relevant.

- Strong understanding of store economics, customer experience, people management, and expansion.

- A hands-on, commercially sharp leader who can operate at both strategic and ground level.
