Resident Construction Manager

Location- Zambia

Job Summary:

Responsible for end-to-end execution of civil construction activities for water and wastewater treatment projects ( sewage treatment). The role involves site management, quality control, client coordination, contractor management, and ensuring timely project completion within cost and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Lead execution of civil works for sewage treatment projects as per drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

2. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress and timely completion.

3. Plan and monitor construction schedules, manpower deployment, and resource allocation.

4. Supervise contractors and site teams, ensuring daily targets and milestones are achieved.

5. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and project specifications

6. Review and certify subcontractor bills and ensure accurate billing and documentation.

7. Coordinate with clients for certification of RA bills and approvals.

8. Conduct regular site reviews, progress meetings, and technical discussions.

9. Support procurement planning, material management, and inventory control.

10. Troubleshoot site issues and provide technical solutions for execution challenges.

Key Requirements:-

1. Qualification: B.E/B.Tech Civil (M.Tech/Construction Management preferred)

2. Experience: 20 or 20+ years in civil construction, with strong exposure to water/wastewater projects, specially sewage treatment plant

3. Must have handled large-scale projects such as WTP/STP/ETP/EPC/Desalination plants

4. Experience in project execution, quality control, and contractor management

5. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, billing processes, and contract compliance

6. Good communication and stakeholder management skills
