We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Research Policy Analyst with 3+ years of experience to support policy development, impact evaluation, and evidence-based decision-making.
You will analyze data, draft policy briefs, and provide insights that shape organizational and governmental strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to analyze policies, regulations, and programs
- Draft policy briefs, white papers, and research reports that inform decision-makers
- Monitor and evaluate policy changes at local, national, and international levels
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for policymakers and stakeholders
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and think tanks
- Assist in the design and execution of surveys, interviews, and focus groups
- Provide recommendations and impact assessments for ongoing and proposed policy initiatives
- Support the creation of data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for key stakeholders
- Stay updated on emerging policy trends and research methodologies
- Contribute to grant applications, funding proposals, and research dissemination
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in policy research, public affairs, or think tanks
- Strong knowledge of policy analysis frameworks, impact evaluation, and regulatory research
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and persuasively
- Proficiency in tools like MS Excel, Stata, R, or Python for data analysis (any one)
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker (preferred)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple research assignments simultaneously
- A keen interest in public policy, governance, development, or sector-specific domains (e.g, education, health, sustainability)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in or with government agencies, NGOs, policy think tanks, or multilateral organizations
Knowledge of legislative or regulatory environments
Familiarity with policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement
