Research Manager - Global Payments Firm (Contractual)

Our client, a global payments firm is seeking an experienced market researcher (7+ years) to handle primary market research projects and manage a team of 5-6 consultants in Gurgaon, India. The role will involve:

- Working closely with research vendors

- Ensuring timely completion of research projects

- Overseeing a thorough review process to ensure data and insights accuracy

- Managing a team of 5-6 consultants

What You Will Be Doing

- Leading primary market research projects, including developing survey instruments, data structures, and analysis plans.

- Overseeing the project delivery team, identifying creative and useful analyses, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations and impactful presentations.

- Collaborating with vendors to plan timelines, evaluate deliverable quality, and manage expectations for future deliveries.

- Mentoring and coaching junior team members to ensure timely, error-free, and impactful project outcomes.

- Supporting content creation for the MRC PowerBI platform.

Your Background

Experience: 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a strong focus on primary market research (preferably in the financial domain).

Essential Skills:

- Expertise in designing questionnaires and managing vendors.

- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.

- Ability to structure analyses to address ambiguous client challenges.

- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Hands-on experience with SPSS or Python.

- Experience with PowerBI.

Other Requirements:

- Proven ability to manage multiple people across multiple projects.

- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
