
- A leading diversified conglomerate is seeking a high-calibre legal professional to work directly with the Group General Counsel as her strategic partner for policy, research, and advisory initiatives.
- This is a high-visibility, intellectually driven role for someone who can operate as an extension and shadow of the GGC, contributing to governance strategy, policy development, and legal risk assessment across multiple business verticals. Ideal for individuals who prefer research, strategy, and advisory work over transactional execution.
Responsibilities:
- Support the GGC on legal governance, compliance strategy, and Group-wide initiatives.
- Conduct legal, regulatory, and policy research on current and emerging issues.
- Draft and refine internal policies, SOPs, frameworks, and guidance documents.
- Prepare impact notes, briefs, strategy papers, and board-level presentations.
- Track regulatory changes and recommend actionable responses.
- Maintain a central policy and research repository.
- Liaise with internal teams for policy rollout and compliance readiness.
- Assist in special projects, audits, benchmarking, and long-term planning.
Qualification:
- LLB with 3-6 years' experience in legal research, policy drafting, compliance advisory, or regulatory analysis.
- Exposure to law firms, Big 4, in-house legal teams, or policy/think-tank roles preferred.
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
- Detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable working with senior leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
