Remote Research Analyst - Tibetan Culture and Religious Studies

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Research Analyst to contribute to our ongoing research initiatives focused on Tibetan culture and religious studies. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analyzing data, and preparing reports on various aspects of Tibetan society, religion, and politics. You will collaborate with a team of researchers and subject matter experts, contributing your insights to inform our understanding of this complex and fascinating region. Your work will directly contribute to informing policy decisions, promoting cultural understanding, and supporting academic scholarship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth research on topics related to Tibetan culture, religion, history, and politics, utilizing a variety of sources including academic literature, primary source documents, and online resources.

- Analyze qualitative data, including interviews, ethnographic observations, and textual materials, to identify key themes and patterns.

- Prepare comprehensive research reports, policy briefs, and presentations summarizing findings and offering insightful analysis for internal and external stakeholders.

- Monitor current events and emerging trends related to Tibet, providing timely updates and analysis to the research team.

- Contribute to the development of research methodologies and data collection strategies to ensure the rigor and validity of our findings.

- Collaborate with other researchers and subject matter experts to synthesize information and develop interdisciplinary perspectives.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous qualitative research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

- Proven ability to analyze complex information and synthesize it into clear, concise, and insightful reports.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present research findings to diverse audiences.

- Fluency in Tibetan language (written and spoken) is essential.

- Strong understanding of Tibetan culture, religion, and history.

- Knowledge of international relations, diplomacy, and political science as they relate to the Tibetan context.

- Master's degree or higher in Tibetan Studies, Religious Studies, Cultural Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment, managing time effectively and meeting deadlines.
