About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Research Analysts - Sell Side to join the equity research team. The role involves conducting institutional and retail equity research, financial analysis, sector tracking, investment idea generation, and providing actionable insights to support investment and portfolio decisions.

Candidates with strong retail equity research experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed industry, sector, and company-level research using top-down and bottom-up approaches.

- Build and manage large datasets using market and financial information from sources such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and other research platforms.

- Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including ratio analysis, earnings projections, financial modelling, and valuation.

- Develop and present investment theses, recommendations, and actionable investment ideas.

- Track companies, sectors, competitive landscapes, industry trends, growth drivers, and market developments.

- Prepare research reports, investment notes, sector updates, strategy reports, and advisory outputs.

- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly research deliverables, including morning notes, con-call updates, sector reports, and strategy reports.

- Provide research inputs to support portfolio construction and investment decision-making.

- Participate in research publications, internal discussions, and interactions with the investment team.

- Continuously monitor earnings, corporate developments, macroeconomic factors, and market trends relevant to assigned sectors.

Preferred Sector Expertise:

Candidates should have relevant equity research experience in at least one of the following sectors:

- Automobiles

- Banking / NBFC

- Small & Mid Cap - Hospitality / Pharma preferred

- Capital Goods / Industrials

Candidate Requirements:

- 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in equity research.

- Current/most recent designation should be Research Analyst.

- Research Associates will be considered only where they have more than 6 years of relevant equity research experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, valuation, earnings analysis, and investment research.

- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the preferred sectors mentioned above.

- Strong analytical, research, report-writing, and communication skills.

- Ability to convert large volumes of financial and market data into actionable investment insights.
