Position Purpose:

Research Analyst - Institutional Research is responsible for conducting in-depth fundamental research on publicly listed companies and sectors to support investment decisions for institutional clients. The role involves financial modeling, valuation analysis, industry research, and preparation of high-quality research reports and investment recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive fundamental analysis of listed companies, including business models, competitive positioning, and growth drivers

- Perform detailed industry and sector research to identify trends, risks, and investment opportunities

- Monitor sector news, regulatory changes and macroeconomics factors to prepare investment strategies

- Track company developments, earnings announcements, corporate actions, and regulatory changes

- Build and maintain financial models including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow projections

- Conduct valuation analyses using various new age methodologies

- Analyze historical financial performance and forecast future earnings and cash flows

- Prepare high-quality research reports, earnings notes, and thematic studies for institutional clients

- Present research findings and investment ideas to portfolio managers, sales teams, and clients

- Respond to client queries and provide timely analytical support

Contributing Responsibilities:

- Interact with top notch corporate executives/industry expert, attend industry conferences to gather market insights

- Read industry related news and track market trends

Technical & Behavioural Competencies:

Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in MS office and Bloomberg

Specific Qualifications (if required):

MBA/CA/CFA and have 5-8 years of experience in Institutional Research
