Job Objective


To develop and manage the Individual Agency Channel (Motor/Health & Life) within the assigned territory in Kanpur, and to actively support the existing partner base to achieve sales targets and ensure channel productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Agency Channel Development:


- Actively source and onboard new Point of Sale (POS) agents in the Kanpur territory as per agreed targets and policy.


- Coordinate with the Operations team for pre-licensing formalities, initial training scheduling, and formal licensing of new agents.


- Conduct induction training for new POS agents and coordinate with the sales training team for ongoing product and sales-specific trainings.


- Ensure maintenance of the agreed mix of new and existing agents/POS for sustained channel growth.

Agency Channel Management:

- Regularly monitor individual agent performance based on common variables such as renewal/fresh database management, sales funnel progression, and closure rates.


- Strive to maintain a high active percentage of POS agents within your network.


- Ensure effective productivity of agents and manage the right level of channel engagement with the POS network.

Sales & Targets:

- Achieve personal and team sales targets for Motor, Health, and Life insurance products sourced through the agency channel.


- Assist in developing and executing strategies to effectively reach out to various market segments.

Channel Servicing:

- Assist with the reconciliation of partner accounts and coordinate with all relevant internal departments (e.g., operations, finance) for query resolution.

Compliance & Hygiene:

- Ensure that all agents and processes under your purview comply with external regulatory bodies and internal company policies.


- Assist in managing cheque bounce recovery and addressing business pendency issues.

Profitability Input:


- Provide feedback on market dynamics to help improve internal organization processes.

Skills and Experience Required


- Experience: 3-4 years of proven sales experience within the agency channel of the life & health insurance sector.

- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to drive sales, acquire new partners, and achieve targets.

- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with potential and existing agents.


- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and maintain productive relationships with agents.

- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, set goals, and drive results.

- Basic Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel) and basic data entry.
