Reporting to: Plant Head / HR Manager

Role Purpose

To manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant, ensuring smooth workforce administration, statutory compliance, and effective employee lifecycle management in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles (operators, supervisors, engineers, staff).

- Coordinate interviews with plant and functional heads.

- Handle onboarding, induction, documentation, and joining formalities.

2. Employee Lifecycle Management

- Maintain complete employee records (personal files, contracts, statutory documents).

- Manage confirmations, transfers, promotions, exits, and full & final settlements.

- Handle day-to-day employee queries and HR support at the plant.

3. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law

- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment, CLRA, labour laws, etc.

- Coordinate with contractors and ensure statutory compliance for contract labour.

- Support audits, inspections, and statutory filings with proper documentation.

4. Payroll, Attendance & Leave Management

- Manage attendance systems, shift rosters, overtime records, and leave tracking.

- Prepare and validate payroll inputs and coordinate with corporate payroll teams.

- Ensure accuracy in wage calculations and statutory deductions.

5. Employee Relations & Plant HR Support

- Address grievances, disciplinary issues, and shop-floor HR matters.

- Support performance management processes at the plant level.

- Assist in engagement initiatives, communication sessions, and HR policies rollout.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of manufacturing plant HR operations

- Hands-on experience with labour laws and statutory compliance

- Exposure to attendance systems, payroll inputs, and HR documentation

- Good communication and coordination skills with shop-floor employees

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
