Role Overview:
The PR & Marketing specialist will play a key role in shaping and strengthening the corporate reputation, brand visibility and digital presence of Religare Enterprises Limited (REL) and its subsidiaries, including RFL, RHDFCL and other Group companies, as applicable.
The role is designed for a communications professional who can operate across strategy and execution, from media relations, CXO thought leadership and corporate communications to digital content, social media, campaigns, internal communications and brand initiatives.
The successful candidate will be expected to be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, with the ability to develop an idea, translate it into compelling content and take it through to execution across relevant platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. External Communications, Thought Leadership & Media Relations:
- Partner with CXOs and identified leadership team members to develop authored articles, opinion pieces, blogs, interviews, speeches and other thought leadership content for external platforms.
- Develop and execute media engagement initiatives to strengthen the visibility and positioning of Religare and its businesses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, influencers and other relevant media stakeholders.
- Work closely with the PR agency and internal stakeholders to identify relevant media opportunities and develop appropriate pitches, story ideas and communication narratives.
- Identify opportunities for CXO and senior leadership participation in industry forums, conferences, panels, webinars, podcasts and other speaking platforms, across relevant functions including business, finance, HR, risk, technology, marketing and corporate affairs.
- Develop content that improves the organisation's search visibility and discoverability, including SEO-optimised articles, blogs and thought leadership content.
- Explore and apply emerging AI-search / answer-engine optimisation (AEO/AIEO) practices to improve the visibility of the organisation and its leadership across AI-enabled search and discovery platforms.
- Monitor relevant media coverage, industry conversations and competitor activity and provide actionable insights to the PR and Marketing leadership.
2. Digital Content & Social Media:
- Own the planning, creation and publishing of brand-aligned content across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and Instagram for REL, RFL, RHDFCL and other applicable Group companies.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns, including static creatives, carousels, short-form video, reels, infographics, polls and other interactive formats.
- Track industry trends, news cycles, topical conversations and emerging formats to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content.
- Leverage relevant moments, observance days, business milestones, industry developments and topical conversations to drive engagement and strengthen brand visibility.
- Establish and maintain appropriate query-response and escalation protocols for REL's social media platforms, working with relevant internal stakeholders wherever required.
- Build and strengthen online communities through polls, interactive formats, conversation-led content and audience engagement initiatives.
- Track and analyse social media performance, engagement, follower growth and content effectiveness, and use insights to continuously improve the content strategy.
3. Internal Communications & Brand:
- Support HR in developing and executing employee engagement campaigns, rewards and recognition programmes, internal events and organisational initiatives through creative content and communication.
- Develop internal communication assets including digital creatives, campaigns, videos, newsletters, presentations and other employee-facing content.
- Maintain and update the REL, RFL and RHDFCL websites, ensuring that relevant corporate information, leadership profiles, company milestones, press releases, media coverage, awards and other content remain current and appropriately presented.
- Regularly update Cloverlink (Intranet) with relevant organisational news, campaigns, employee communications and other approved content.
- Ensure consistency of the Group's brand identity, tone of voice and communication standards across internal and external channels.
4. Campaigns, Content & Publications:
- Plan and execute annual PR, marketing and corporate communication campaigns in alignment with organisational priorities.
- Develop and maintain the Marketing & PR Policy as the governing framework for PR and marketing activities across the organisation.
- Conceptualise and execute integrated campaigns in collaboration with HR and other internal stakeholders, including initiatives designed to encourage employee participation and user-generated content.
- Conceptualise and develop creative campaigns for internal engagement, rewards and recognition, employee activities and other organisational initiatives.
- Coordinate the development of marketing and communication collateral, including EDMs, presentations, branch collateral, leaflets, promotional materials and other branded assets, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Lead the ideation and development of the Annual Report, including theme conceptualisation, creative direction, cover design, content development and compilation in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate the publication of financial results and other regulatory advertisements in newspapers, ensuring compliance with applicable timelines and requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in PR, digital marketing, content, social media, AI and communications, and proactively identify opportunities to adopt relevant best practices.
5. Process, Governance & Workflow Management:
- Establish and maintain structured content planning, review and approval workflows, ensuring appropriate stakeholder sign-offs before publication.
- Maintain communication calendars and ensure adherence to agreed timelines across PR, digital, social media, internal communications and marketing deliverables.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, records and archives of communication assets, campaigns, media coverage and other relevant materials.
- Ensure adherence to approved brand guidelines, communication policies, SOPs and governance requirements.
- Support the development of reporting dashboards and periodic updates covering PR, media, digital and marketing performance.
6. Vendor, Agency & Financial Management:
- Identify, evaluate, onboard and manage external partners and vendors across PR, digital marketing, creative design, events and other marketing services.
- Coordinate with agencies and vendors to ensure timely, quality and cost-effective delivery of agreed scope of work.
- Negotiate commercial terms and contracts with vendors, where applicable, to achieve cost efficiencies without compromising quality or delivery standards.
- Manage vendor documentation, work orders, purchase processes and related administrative requirements.
- Ensure 100% on-time invoice processing within agreed turnaround times and coordinate with the Finance team for timely payment releases.
- Ensure 100% adherence to applicable SOPs and internal processes.
- Monitor utilisation of approved marketing and communications budgets and flag potential variances proactively.
- Maintain appropriate records and documentation for all agency and vendor engagements.
Years of Experience:
8-12 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, marketing communications or an integrated agency environment, with a strong understanding of media, content and digital communications.
Preferred Industry:
Prior experience in the financial services sector, including banking, NBFCs, insurance, capital markets or other financial services businesses, or experience servicing clients in these sectors, would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory. Candidates from other sectors should demonstrate the ability and willingness to quickly understand the financial services ecosystem, its regulatory environment and the nuances of communicating within a highly regulated industry.
Person Specifications:
Must have strong digital communication, research, and AI skills to create engaging content across various formats, manage independent projects, and use modern productivity and generative tools responsibly.
Content Creation & Design:
- Social Media Execution: 1. Conceptualize, create, and edit static and dynamic content for multiple platforms.
- Design Proficiency: 1. Required proficiency in Canva; 2. preferred working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Illustrator.
- Web Familiarity: 1. Basic understanding of web design principles and digital content formats.
Research & Writing:
- Editorial Excellence: 1. Strong core research, writing, and editorial capabilities.
- Complex Translation: 1. Ability to research topics independently and turn complex business, financial, or industry trends into clear audience-appropriate content.

Technical & AI Proficiency:
