Responsibilities:

Functional Planning & Strategy

- Provide inputs in creating P&C Service's business strategy & create a roadmap to ensure adherence to overall objectives and goals

- Oversee end to end execution / implementation of business plans and tracking achievement to functional targets/goals as per Annual Operating Plan

- Collaborate with Internal customers, Construction Managers, Project Managers, and other cross functional teams to define scope of work & overall resource sourcing strategy for the assigned Site/ Unit/ Project.

- Collaborate with leadership to identify new initiatives/ projects and set operational plans that meet these future demands

- Participate in budgeting cycle & process and provide inputs on budget allocation for own sub-function/ team

- Oversee deployment of own budget and ensure efficient utilization and minimum variance in target v/s actual

- Drive new technological / automation advancements in work execution techniques

Vendor Development & Management

- Maintain positive contractor relationships at the highest level with strategic Contractors and institute powerful contractor development processes.

- Ensure maintenance of updated contractor's data base with performance analytics

- Develop new resourceful contractors in addition to existing Master supplier list, identify their capabilities, current commitments, and spare capacity

- Guide team to conduct a comprehensive contractor qualification assessment and oversee the process of empanelment being followed as per the defined guidelines

- Facilitate activities for sourcing events, contractor identification, techno-commercial negotiation, and contractor selection

- Participate in Commercial Negotiation Meetings with the short-listed contractors & ensure mutual sign off and award of contract on agreed terms

Contract Execution

- Maintain relationship with cross functional teams and ensure real time visibility / support to the PMT/ FCA/ EC

- Guide team on discipline specific inputs related to contract structuring, defining standard scope of works in line with specifications and requirements.

- Develop contract award schedule and contract plan for specific packages.

- Review, approve Internal Cost Estimates (ICE) and develop cost modules

Compliance & Risk Management

- Identify contract related risk areas and further develop and implement the mitigation plan.

- Ensure contractor performance and adherence to compliances with respect to contracted SLAs

- Manage Change Order Management by ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues and proactively implementing claim avoidance measures.

- Take timely strategic / tactical decisions to mitigate contractual performance risk.

Policies, Processes and Procedures:

- Create policies, processes, and procedures covering all areas of activity. Ensure adherence to relevant procedural / legislative requirements while delivering high quality and cost-effective results

- Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through adapting to changes in standards, changes in the business environment and adoption of leading practices

- Oversee escalated non-compliance cases and recommend processes to reduce non-compliance

- Ensure team create and publish various MIS reports to track & ascertain team / function performance

People Management

- Instil a culture of continuous development and performance

- Lead by example by encouraging teamwork, driving results and excellence, developing and grooming talent and demonstrating role modelling behaviour

- Proactively participate in recruiting, development & engagement of own team

- Build & develop competent team for the respective discipline/category by evaluating training and development requirements and make recommendations for learning interventions

- Develop and create growth opportunities for HiPo's within the scope of the organization

Education Required:

Necessary B.E / B. Tech, Civil

NICMAR

Experience Required:

Necessary 12 to 20 years of experience in Contracts & Procurement from EPC / Construction industry.
