Role Overview:

We're seeking an accomplished National Sales Manager with deep PAN India experience, specifically across North, South, East, and West regions. This senior leader will architect and execute a rigorous, process driven sales structure. You'll build and guide a high-powered team, lead multi-channel acquisition (SMT, regional modern trade, high-volume outlets, plus special channels like bus stands, colleges, institutions, religious clusters), and ensure flawless execution through discipline, cross-functional alignment, and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Nationwide Channel Strategy & Execution

- Design and implement a national strategy to acquire high-volume outlets across diverse channels, ensuring proportional growth and coverage in North, South, East, and West India.

- Set structured regional targets and performance dashboards for each zone to achieve balanced market penetration.

2. Executive Team Leadership & People Management

- Mentor and lead a top-tier national sales team-comprising Regional Sales Managers and Area Managers-across all four regions.

- Develop tailored incentive schemes, career paths, and performance metrics. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.

3. Cross Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Heads of Departments (Sales, Marketing, Finance), regional leads, and IT for seamless rollout of sales programs, ensuring unified execution across PAN India.

- Jointly manage forecasting, budgeting, and launch initiatives with Finance and Marketing teams to drive both current category growth and new product introductions.

4. Cross Category Sales & Merchandising

- Lead and align strategies across staples, beverages, food, and non food categories.

- Implement advanced planogramming, evaluating category performance per region and optimizing shelf visibility and product mix accordingly.

5. Process & Tech Driven Operations

- Co-develop with tech teams an end to end system-from outlet onboarding, sales tracking, payment reconciliation to outlet performance monitoring.

- Standardize SOPs across regions to ensure consistency, governance, and operational precision nationwide.

- Leverage analytics for insight-driven decision making and continuous process refinement.

6. Travel & Soft Skills

- Be prepared to travel ~15-20 days/month across North, South, East, and West India to manage teams, top-tier outlets, and regional launches.

- Demonstrate an aggressive, agile, and customer first leadership style. Maintain strong organizational discipline and process adherence while remaining responsive to market needs.

Required Qualifications:

- Education: MBA or equivalent (Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred).

- Experience: 15-25 years in large-scale, multi-region sales leadership (preferably FMCG/retail).

Skills:

- Proven ability to drive high volume outlet acquisition across all regions of India.

- Strong process orientation-experience developing, implementing, and monitoring SOPs.

- Solid cross-category and merchandising background (planogramming preferred).

- Tech-savvy-with experience managing CRM, MIS, and sales tracking systems.

- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
