Role Overview

Seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead transaction execution and advisory assignments across debt syndication, project finance, refinancing, structured finance, and turnaround situations. The role calls for someone who combines sound financial judgment with a practical understanding of lender expectations, and who appreciates the traditions of sound financial discipline while guiding organisations toward sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Debt Syndication & Project Finance


- Lead debt syndication for infrastructure, industrial and ESG-focused businesses through domestic lenders and Development Finance Institutions.

- Assess sector outlook, funding structures and lender appetite to ensure optimal financing arrangements.

- Manage refinancing mandates to strengthen capital structure and improve cost of capital.

Structured & Special Situation Financing

- Execute funding mandates for stressed assets, special situations and strategic turnaround opportunities.

- Develop financing structures aligned with risk-return, regulatory requirements and asset potential.

- Support clients through debt renegotiation, restructuring and settlement discussions with lenders.

Investment & Buy-Side Advisory

- Lead buy-side advisory mandates involving distressed infrastructure and industrial assets.

- Conduct business viability analysis, valuation, financial modelling, and turnaround strategies.

- Drive successful acquisition, investment planning and post-transaction monitoring.

Stakeholder & Lender Engagement

- Build enduring relationships with banks, DFIs, ARCs and financial institutions.

- Negotiate transaction terms, prepare lender presentations and coordinate due-diligence.

- Review legal documentation relating to financing, restructuring, and investment agreements.

Business Development

- Identify opportunities across infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, logistics, and energy.

- Represent the organisation in financing discussions and industry engagements.

- Contribute to strategic positioning of the Corporate Finance practice in India.

Required Experience & Skills

- 1015 years experience in project finance, debt syndication, refinancing, asset reconstruction or turnaround.

- Hands-on execution experience with infrastructure sectors such as roads, airports, power, utilities, metals, manufacturing, or technology-enabled infrastructure.

- Strong foundation in financial modelling, valuations, credit analysis and transaction structuring.

- Exposure to negotiations involving domestic banks, DFIs and ARC frameworks.

- Demonstrated ability to lead transactions end-to-end and engage with CXO leadership.

- Familiarity with resolution frameworks, RBI regulations and lender policies.

Professional Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) required.

- Additional qualification such as CS or MBA Finance preferred.
