We are seeking a highly driven and commercially sharp Business Development Manager to strengthen our presence in the St. Petersburg construction and infrastructure market. The role demands a deep understanding of the Russian construction ecosystem, strong industry connections, and the ability to secure high-value engineering and manpower service contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and track upcoming construction and infrastructure projects across St. Petersburg, with a strong focus on the Lakhta Center district.
- Maintain up-to-date market intelligence on key developers, EPC contractors, and government-backed infrastructure initiatives.
- Establish and develop relationships with senior stakeholders including Project Directors, Commercial Heads, and Procurement Leaders within leading Russian and international construction firms.
- Target major organizations such as Gazprom and Renaissance Construction, along with other Tier-1 contractors.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities for engineering services and manpower supply within large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Achieve and exceed defined revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead end-to-end bid management, including technical proposals, commercial structuring, and compliance with Russian contracting standards.
- Ensure alignment of service offerings with client specifications and project requirements.
- Manage complex negotiations, ensuring commercially viable and legally compliant agreements.
- Secure long-term partnerships and framework agreements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring consistent service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Drive repeat business through strong relationship management and performance tracking.
Candidate Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Business Development within the Construction, Infrastructure, or Engineering sectors.
- Prior exposure to the Russian or Eastern European construction market is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, engineering services, and manpower deployment models.
- Familiarity with local regulatory, contractual, and procurement frameworks in Russia.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales, contract acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Ability to independently drive deals from lead generation to closure.
- Strong professional presence with the ability to engage and influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Fluency in Russian is highly preferred; English proficiency is required.
- Must be willing to relocate or operate within St. Petersburg full-time.
- Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
