About the Role:
The Business Development Manager will be a pivotal player in the firm's expansion strategy. The role involves building a portfolio of HNW/UHNW clients by providing bespoke investment advisory and solutions. The position offers significant autonomy, direct impact on business growth, and the opportunity to work with a sophisticated product suite in a meritocratic culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for acquiring and nurturing relationships with HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
- Provide expert advisory on Aequitas's proprietary range of investment products and strategies, suitable for UHNIs / Family offices.
- Collaborate with the investment team to understand investment strategy to present to investors.
- Maintain a deep understanding of market trends and economic factors to offer proactive, value-added advice.
- Achieve and exceed agreed-upon targets for client engagement - AUM is an outcome of the discussions - and not the target.
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
Academic Excellence:
- MBA from a Tier-1 / Premier B-School (e.g., IIMs, ISB, XLRI).
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Commerce from a leading institution.
Relevant Experience (5-7 years):
- A consistent track record in a client-facing, revenue-generating role within the wealth management/private banking sector of a top-tier institution.
