Function: Wholesale / SME Lending Supply Chain Finance
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Summary:
We are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Relationship Manager to build and lead the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) business for the region, serving SME and Mid-Corporate clients. This is a business-building mandate: the successful candidate will own the regional P&L, originate business independently through their own market network, structure working capital and asset-backed solutions, and manage the portfolio end-to-end. The role suits a self-starter who can set up and scale a book from the ground up while maintaining strong asset quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Building: Draw up and execute the regional business plan for Supply Chain Finance; establish and scale the book from scratch, setting acquisition and growth targets for the region.
- P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for the regional P&L revenue, profitability, book growth, yields, and cost of credit.
- Client Acquisition: Independently source and acquire SME / Mid-Corporate relationships using your own market network and knowledge; build a pipeline of anchor and dealer/vendor programs.
- Product Structuring: Structure and offer a range of working capital and asset-backed solutions, including Pre-Shipment Finance, Post-Shipment Finance, Working Capital Term Loans (WCTL) and other structured SCF facilities.
- Credit & Financial Assessment: Evaluate borrower financials, read and interpret Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements to assess creditworthiness and structure appropriate facilities.
- Portfolio Management: Manage the regional portfolio for health, renewals, enhancements, and early-warning monitoring; drive collections and keep delinquencies within acceptable limits.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal stakeholders: Co-Lending, Credit, Legal, Operations, and Compliance to ensure smooth onboarding, disbursement, and servicing.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain Finance for Mid Corporate / Large Corporate clients.
- Relationship Management experience within an NBFC is a must (10-12 years for an Associate RM & 15 years + for Senior RM).
- Proven track record of structured working capital finance and asset-backed finance products - Pre-Shipment, Post-Shipment, WCTL and similar products.
- Sound credit orientation and experience - ability to evaluate Balance Sheet and P&L and take a broader view on credit risk.
- Demonstrated experience of building and managing investment-grade / BBB-rated portfolios.
- Strong market knowledge and client network in the region, with the ability to acquire business independently.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, with the ability to build a business from the ground up.
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline (MBA / CA preferred).
Added Advantage:
- Formal credit underwriting / appraisal experience in addition to relationship management.
- Existing relationships with anchors, distributors, and SME / Mid-Corporate clients in the region.
Key Competencies:
- Entrepreneurial, business-building mindset with a strong ownership orientation.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to balance growth with asset quality.
- Strong financial analysis and credit judgment.
- Networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Resilience and drive to deliver in a target-oriented environment.
