About the Role:

As a Relationship Manager, NBFC Lending, the candidate will be instrumental in expanding and managing the bank's NBFC client relationships in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The candidate will be at the forefront of business development, identifying opportunities, structuring deals, and nurturing long-term partnerships with NBFCs and Fintech FIs in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

- Identify and target high-potential NBFCs and Fintech FIs in South India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala) for lending partnerships, expanding the bank's footprint and market share in these key geographies.

- Build and maintain robust relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target organizations, from origination to exit, fostering mutual growth and collaboration.

- Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue generation and contribute to market share improvement and client acquisition targets.

Market Intelligence & Deal Structuring:

- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the NBFC and Fintech FI sectors, including market trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment in South India.

- Proactively identify and evaluate potential lending opportunities, analyzing their viability and alignment with the bank's risk appetite.

- Propose creative and innovative lending solutions tailored to client needs and market dynamics, showcasing sector-specific knowledge.

- Lead the investment structuring and documentation process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations.

Operational Excellence & Collaboration:

- Maintain meticulous records and ensure data accuracy, organization, and safekeeping, adhering to commercial, confidentiality, organizational, and regulatory standards.

- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., credit, legal, operations) to streamline processes and ensure seamless client onboarding and servicing, ensuring efficient deal closure and disbursal.

- Actively contribute to departmental and overall group objectives, recognizing the crucial role this function plays in the bank's success.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- NBFC Lending Expertise: 3-5 years of proven experience in NBFC lending or financial services, with a strong track record of originating and managing client relationships in the NBFC or Financial Institutions sector.

- Education: MBA or CA from a reputable institution.

- Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong financial modeling skills, coupled with the ability to analyze complex data and trends within the NBFC and Fintech FI sectors, to identify new business opportunities and make informed recommendations.

- Credit Knowledge & Structuring: Solid understanding of credit analysis, deal structuring, and various lending products, including term loans, working capital facilities, and other financial instruments relevant to NBFCs.

- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage effectively with clients and build lasting relationships.

- Relationship Building: A natural aptitude for establishing rapport, building trust, and nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships with clients and stakeholders.

- Proactive & Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

- Market Acumen: Keen interest in market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the NBFC sector in India.

- Product Knowledge: Good understanding of EE&FI products and services.
