Role Overview:
As a Relationship Manager (RM) Client Acquisition, you will be responsible for converting warm and qualified leads generated via digital channels into long-term wealth management clients. Working closely under a Wealth Manager, this role blends consultative sales, relationship management, and advisory support, and is designed as a launchpad for future Wealth Managers.
You will own the end-to-end lead conversion journey from first contact to onboarding while building trusted relationships and expanding wallet share over time.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Sales
- Convert inbound digital leads (website, campaigns, partnerships, referrals) into active clients through consultative selling.
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand client financial needs, goals, and readiness to invest.
- Pitch our mutual funds recommendation clearly, addressing objections and guiding prospects through decision-making.
- Drive lead-to-conversion metrics such as contact rate, meeting ratio, closure rate, and AUM onboarding.
- Proactively follow up with prospects using structured sales cadences and CRM workflows.
- Collaborate with marketing and central sales teams to improve lead quality and conversion outcomes.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and deepen relationships with converted clients under the guidance of the Wealth Manager.
- Understand client goals, risk profiles, and investment preferences to deliver personalized advice.
- Regularly review portfolios and recommend rebalancing, upgrades, or new strategies aligned with client goals.
- Generate referrals and cross-sell opportunities to increase wallet share.
- Ensure timely communication and proactive engagement across the client lifecycle.
- Prepare client briefs, review notes for ongoing reviews and meetings.
- Develop familiarity with our advisory tools, risk assessment frameworks, and planning models.
CRM, Process & Compliance
- Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene logging calls, meetings, follow-ups, pipelines, and conversion status.
- Track lead stages, outcomes, and conversion funnels accurately for reporting and performance reviews.
- Ensure seamless onboarding by coordinating documentation, KYC, and account setup.
- Learn and adhere to company protocols on ethical conduct and confidentiality.
- Adhere to companys internal processes and SEBI regulatory guidelines at all times.
Learning and Growth Pathway
- Participate in structured training on sales techniques, objection handling, negotiation, and advisory conversations.
- Build strong product knowledge across equity, debt, mutual funds, and financial planning tools.
- Work towards readiness to graduate into a Wealth Manager role over time.
- Progressively develop readiness to transition into a Wealth Manager role.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, client acquisition, relationship management, or financial services.
- Proven ability to close clients from inbound or warm leads (BFSI, fintech, wealth, insurance, or broking preferred).
- Strong consultative selling skills with comfort handling HNI / affluent client conversations.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot, or similar).
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and follow-up discipline.
- Analytical, target-driven, and process-oriented mindset.
- High attention to detail, client empathy, and process discipline.
- Passionate about personal finance and building a long-term career in wealth management.
- Good knowledge of Indian Equity & Debt markets and the products available in Indian financial markets.
Mandatory Requirement:
- The candidate should obtain certification of the NISM Mutual Fund Distribution Level VA exam within 6 months of joining the company.
