About the role:

We are hiring for a boutique Investment Banking firm seeking experienced Corporate Banking professionals to join its Buy-Side team.

This role offers an opportunity to transition from traditional banking into a transaction-focused environment, leveraging corporate relationships, credit expertise and financing experience to drive deal origination and execution.

The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to corporate lending, structured financing, credit assessment and client relationship management, along with the ability to identify financing opportunities and execute transactions from initial discussions through closure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deal Origination: Identify and develop new business opportunities by building and strengthening relationships with corporate clients.

- Corporate Relationship Management: Engage with corporate borrowers to understand their business models, funding requirements and financing objectives.

- Structuring & Financing Solutions: Evaluate financing requirements and help structure suitable solutions based on client needs, creditworthiness and transaction objectives.

- Credit Appraisal & Financial Analysis: Assess financial statements, cash flows, credit profiles and repayment capacity to support financing decisions.

- Transaction Execution: Coordinate and manage transactions from origination and initial evaluation through structuring, due diligence, negotiations and closure.

- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with banks, NBFCs, funds, financial institutions and other stakeholders to facilitate deal execution.

- Negotiation & Deal Coordination: Support commercial discussions, financing terms and transaction documentation to ensure effective execution.

- Business Development: Build a strong pipeline of prospective transactions and maintain long-term corporate relationships to generate repeat business.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Banking, Corporate Lending, Structured Finance or B2B Financing.

- Experience working with banks or financial institutions, preferably in corporate relationship management and financing.

- Demonstrated exposure to deal origination, credit appraisal, financial analysis and transaction execution.

- Strong understanding of corporate credit, financing structures, cash-flow assessment and lending products.

- Ability to evaluate client requirements and identify suitable financing opportunities.

- Excellent client-facing, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

- MBA from a Tier-1 institute is required.
