We are hiring experienced Regional Sales Managers for a leading Spices & Foods FMCG company in India to lead and scale high-impact sales operations across key geographies.
Position Details:
Role: Regional Sales Manager (RSM) 2 Nos
Regions:Western India - Maharashtra, Gujarat, MP & CG
Southern India - Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana
Base Locations: Mumbai (Western Region), Bengaluru (Southern Region)
Reporting To: Vice President Sales
Team Size: ZSMs, ASMs, ASEs & extended sales force
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the Sales Leadership Team, owning regional P&L and deliverables
- Lead, coach, and scale large sales teams across GT channels
- Plan and execute volume, value, and market share growth as per AOP
- Design and execute Sales & Distribution (S&D) strategy for the region
- Expand distribution footprint: new outlets, rural reach, distributor onboarding
- Drive distributor productivity, ROI, and channel financing initiatives
- Own regional trade marketing calendar and execution effectiveness
- Improve SPP (Sales per Person) and optimize CTS (Cost to Sales)
- Control trade spends, logistics efficiency, freight optimization
- Finalize and manage sales plans, manpower plans, budgets & TADA
- Lead regional recruitment, assessments, promotions, and MT inductions
- Manage market returns, liquidation of slow-moving stocks
- Drive sales automation, IT tools, and digital initiatives
- Track competition, ensure account reconciliations with finance
Role Requirements:
- 12-15+ years of FMCG sales experience in General Trade
- Strong background in Spices / Foods / Meal Solutions (preferred)
- Proven experience in scaling businesses, setting up distribution & S&D processes
- Hands-on exposure to distributor appointment, team building & execution excellence
- Graduate / MBA (Sales & Marketing preferred; Premium B-School a plus)
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation & analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint & SAP
