
Role Overview:
We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager for South India, based in Chennai or Bangalore, for a leading, well-established Indian manufacturing brand with a strong pan-India distribution and key-account network. This is a senior B2B sales leadership role owning regional revenue, team performance and key-account growth across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and execute the regional sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets for South India.
- Lead, mentor and motivate a team of Area Managers and sales representatives to hit individual and team goals.
- Identify and prioritise key accounts and target markets; build plans to penetrate and grow them.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, influencers and channel stakeholders.
- Track market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to spot growth opportunities.
- Work with marketing, product development and cross-functional teams to align regional sales plans with business objectives.
- Run regular sales reviews, performance reviews and training sessions for the team.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets and MIS reports to senior management.
- Manage the sales pipeline and CRM to track leads, opportunities and customer interactions.
- Travel across the territory to meet customers, attend industry events and support the field team.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of sales management experience, preferably in South India, with a proven record of achieving targets.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience managing Area Managers / multi-city sales teams.
- Deep understanding of South India market dynamics, customer segments, channels and competition.
- B2B sales experience in manufacturing, FMCG, consumer durables, building/home products or technology.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot or similar).
Location:
Chennai or Bangalore (extensive travel across South India).
