Regional Sales Manager


Roles and Responsibilities:

Territory: Rest of Maharashtra

Sales Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve volume, value, and distribution targets.

- Ensure alignment of regional sales plans with overall business objectives.

Market Coverage & Expansion:

- Expand general trade footprint by identifying new business opportunities and opening new markets within the region.

- Ensure effective numeric and weighted distribution through efficient coverage.

Distributor & Channel Management:

- Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors across assigned states.

- Monitor distributor ROI, performance, stock levels, and compliance with company standards.

- Conduct regular distributor reviews and support them in resolving trade-level challenges.

Team Leadership & Performance Management:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), Sales Officers (SOs), and Territory Sales Executives (TSEs).

- Set clear KPIs and drive performance through structured reviews and field coaching.

Retail Execution & Visibility:

- Ensure high-quality in-market execution, including merchandising, visibility drives, POS deployment, and planogram compliance.

- Monitor the effectiveness of trade promotions and consumer offers.

Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competition to forecast demand and plan inventory.

- Provide timely reports and insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Budgeting & Cost Control:

- Manage trade spends, incentives, and regional budgets efficiently to maximize ROI.

Market Intelligence:

- Stay updated with competitor activities, pricing trends, and evolving customer preferences.

- Provide inputs to marketing and product development teams based on regional insights.

Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure adherence to company policies, code of conduct, and statutory requirements across the region.
